Kaleb and Nango spent a long time talking about humans.

The boy told her about his traditions, sports, music, food, the arts, countless things that, although for Kaleb they were trivial and mundane, caused such a fascination for the huachi that she couldn't stop wondering, asking, digging as much as possible into each topic the conversation led them to.

He also told her about the similarities with the huachi in family, friendship, feelings, and every time these coincidences became noticeable in the conversation, the huachi always stood up and said excitedly:

-Like the huachi! -while the small fins on her head, which did not stop moving throughout the conversation, only moved more, showing how amazed she was with everything the human boy told her.

Of all the topics they discussed, there was one in particular that captivated the huachi more than the rest: the dancing.

-Tell me again about how hyoomans dance -said the huachi.

-Again? -asked Kaleb warmly.

-Yes! -said Nango excitedly, her fins moving.

-Okay -the boy laughed-, but why is it so interesting? You huachis don't dance? -he asked.

-We have Zan'shackum, it's very similar to the dances yoo toold me about. But we never dance... togethoor -said the huachi, curious-. I'd like to try it soometime -she said softly, as she looked at the boy.

Kaleb looked like a fool and could only let out a goofy smile, then he tried to regain his composure by asking the huachi something.

-Nango, I told you about humans and about me, but I would like to know a little about you -Kaleb asked, embarassed.

Nango's attitude changed slightly. The huachi remained pensive for a moment.

-Only if you want, of course -said the boy trying to correct himself, thinking that perhaps he had offended her-. This is why I need your help to decide what to do -the boy whispered to you.

-It doesn't ooh-fend me. I already toold yoo evoorything about me. Except that my fathoor is... King Huachi.

Kaleb already suspected this but even so, hearing her confirm it was undoubtedly something that made him reflect.

-You are the princess, that's why you can visit me and bring me food.

-No -said Nango-. That is to say... yes, I am the preen-suss of Huachi. But my fathoor does not undoorstand, nobody knows that I came to see yoo.

-What do you mean?

-My fathoor doesn't want me to learn from hyoomans, much less get close to one. He tried to keep me away foor-um anything hyooman since I was a child, but when I found out yoo woor here I couldn't help but come to see yoo and see a hyooman foor myself. I wanted to know what they woor like. I've nevoor seen any so close, like yoo.

-What do you think? -asked the boy.

-I believe that there are bad hyoomans, just as there have been bad huachis, but I also believe that just as there have been good huachis, there are good hyoomans...

The huachi approached Kaleb and in one movement pounced on him, hugging him.

-Like yoo.

Kaleb was puzzled. His face began to turn red, and he finally returned the huachi's hug.

The boy stayed like that for a moment, hugging each other in silence.

Nango, still with her head leaning on the boy, and with her arms around his torso, whispered to him.

-Kaleb, I wish... othoor hyoomans were like yoo.

Nango released the boy.

-I have to go, but... I'll be back tomoorrow -the huachi swam to the gate. After opening it she took a moment to look at the boy.

-Maybe yoo can teach me that hyooman dance - she said, as she smiled at him.

The huachi closed the gate and left.

That night Kaleb hardly spoke to you. In fact, he hardly spoke at all. He only had one thought in his head: how much he wanted to see the princess again.

-With that, another day ended. Go to sunrise >
