-Wait! -Kaleb exclaimed-. I want to escape because I am not from this world, and I honestly believe that you are not either. They trapped us all in a book! -said the boy, almost shouting to stop Nango from leaving.

By the time Kaleb finished, Nango was already at the cell gate, and right there it seemed the boy's words had an effect, because the huachi stopped short.

Nango leaned against one of the coral bars, her expression reflecting that the huachi was housing some kind of internal revelation. Seeing that she was willing to listen, Kaleb continued.

-The elders of your Kingdom came to see me yesterday after you, and asked me to guide a warrior of your Kindom to find a way out -Kaleb said.

-Then it's troo -Nango sighed to herself, almost resigned.

-What's that?

-When I was a child, the elders told me the legend of oor kingdom. They said that the hyoomans had contacted the huachi to form an ool-lie-uns... but it really wasn't like that -the princess leaned her head against one of the bars and continued the narration...

"The Gurr-reat King Ocotzo was contacted by a hyooman King. The King poor-omm-eesed him an ool-lie-uns between the kingdoms of the fire lion on earth, and the kingdom of the Huachis of the ooh-shunn. But the hyoomans woor reel-ee looking foor something that coor-upts them, something that makes them steal and kill: gold. The hyoomans wanted the choor-eh-shoor of the Huachi Kingdom, so they sent their army to steal it, but the sool-joors of the Huachi Kingdom were strong. They banished the hyoomans and saved the kingdom. The hyooman, vengefool and gooh-ree-dee, they began to hunt my peh-pool. Hyoomans in their ships killed hundreds of huachi in the sea, so the king oor-doored us not to leave the Kingdom because it was no longer safe.

"He believed that if they stayed in the Kingdom he could proo-tect the Huachi people from the hyoomans, but it did not work. One day a hyooman with gurr-reat fire came to steal the choo-eh-shoor. This hyooman attacked the Huachi Kingdom and foorced the King to go out and fight. The King defeated the scoor-let hyooman, but this cost him his hand.

"Then the vengefool scoor-let hyooman used his dying breath to make a pact with the Acq' Aht, asking him to curse the Huachi Kingdom.

-The Acq' Aht? -Kaleb asked, afraid it meant what he thought.

-In huachi -Nango answered-, Acq' Aht means "The Gurr-reat Evool". I was a child when Acq' Aht descended on the Huachi Kingdom. My father toold me that the sool-joors tried to confront him, but the powoor of the Acq' Aht was too stoor-ong. He destrooyed the sool-joors and swallood the Huachi Kingdom, burying it in the depth, where we never saw sunlight again. The elders call it the ee-toor-nool night.

"Since then, every year, the king and the elders choose the stoor-ongest woor-ee-oor and send him to fight the beast that live outside the Huachi Kingdom and keeps us locked up, but so far no woor-ee-oor has retoorned.

Kaleb was stunned to hear Nango's story. He felt guilty in a way.

-I'm sorry for what your people went through, now I understand why they distrust me so much -Kaleb said, resigned and embarassed.

-They say all hyoomans are evool and are all connected to the Acq' Aht -Nango stared at Kaleb-. Are yoo? Are yoo bad? -asked the huachi with a serious look.

-No, I was trying to stop that "great evil" before it locked me up here.

-Yoo woor fighting against the Acq' Aht?

-Yes, but there are other humans who serve that great evil. Some even idolize him.

-Kaleb -said Nango.

It was the first time that the huachi said his name. Hearing this, Kaleb felt like she could trust him again.

-Yes, Nango? -responded Kaleb.

-Will yoo guide the huachi woor-ee-oor?

-We're... -Kaleb looked at you quickly-. I'm thinking if I should do it.

Seeing how the boy corrected himself, Nango widened her eyes as if she had realized something.

-I have to go -said the huachi hurriedly.

-Wait, Nango, I... -said Kaleb.

But Nango closed the gate, covered herself with her tunic and left.

She left Kaleb distraught with his mixed up feelings and thoughts. He was trying to figure out what had just happened and wondering if he could have done anything to prevent it.

With that, another day ended.
