-Okay... I'm really hungry, but I think you're right. It will be better to wait for something more conventional, like a sandwich or a quesadilla.
Kaleb puts the can in his backpack, along with the water bottle and flashlight. After not finding anything else, he decides to go ahead and leave that room. But when he enters the next one, he realizes it's exactly the same as the last, but without furniture. This begins to upset him to such a degree that his steps turn into a light jog.
-It can't be. No...
Kaleb begins to run, discovering the same rooms over and over and over again, until exhaustion makes him stop, gasping for breath.
-It's infinite! I can't believe it, there should be a way out! What do we do?
Maybe you were about to answer him, but a growl interrupts the moment again.
-That time... it wasn't me -says the boy, trembling a little.
Kaleb turns to find one of the corners of the room completely black, as if the light doesn't hit that exact spot. The roar is heard again and now he can be sure that it came from that darkness.
-I have... to get out... -Kaleb whispers, as he takes a few steps back.
Two greenish lights slowly emerge from the blackened corner. They're shaped strangely, looking like elongated eyes, followed by what could be teeth, hundreds, no, thousands of them, dripping what looks like saliva.
Suddenly, the monstrosity in the corner lets out a scream, the sound of which can only be compared to that of a dentist's drill. And that's enough to send Kaleb running again, picking up to a faster speed, one that only the fuel of fear can provide.
