The King, as well as the elders and guards in the room, gasped upon hearing these words. It seemed as if that gasp of surprise and confusion had left them frozen, unable to move a muscle; only a couple of the elders had their jaws trembling slightly from shock.
Then there was a moment of silence... the king lowered his hook slowly, his gaze drifting to his daughter and his eyes filled with doubt.
-Uyi' Shomoyei? -uttered the king with a faltering voice.
Nango nodded firmly.
The king was getting angry again. He raised his hook and pointed it at Kaleb, yelling.
The princess droppped the spear, dropped to her knees next to the boy, and put her arms around his neck, still glaring at her father angrily.
Nango uttered something in huachi that completely disarmed the King, for his expression changed drastically and his hook came down, defeated.
She said something to her father, something Kaleb understood despite being spoken in the Huachi language. Nango was talking to her father about him. Her father listened attentively, his gaze oscillating between the princess and the boy.
When she finished speaking, the shocked King dropped to his knees. The weight of him made the ground rumble. Even Kaleb would swear that both he and Nango were lifted off the ground for a very miniscule instant.
The King was silent and after steadying his breathing, he spoke a few words.
-Eich uhm I'ht Huachi Tech'torri ash'uh'ma, Nango che' Kun Lib eit uhm, Kaleb.
The princess' eyes widened and after that she turned to the boy, smiling with overflowing happiness, once again hugged him and placed her forehead on his tenderly while laughing.
-My father has accepted yoo staying with me -said Nango, tears coming from her eyes again.
Kaleb turned to look at the King in fear. He in turn looked at him, but this time he looked happy. The King began to applaud slowly. Shortly after he was followed by the elders, the guards, and the curious people of the Kingdom who revealed their presence behind the doors.
Nango looked at her father, who also began to cry. The King opened his arms and his daughter ran towards him. Both embraced in a tender moment.
Kaleb stood up. Nango turned to look at Kaleb again and ran towards him.
Nango hugged Kaleb. The princess took the boy's face in her hands and brought him closer again. He closed his eyes and bowed his head, hoping that their foreheads would meet again, but the princess lifted him up and instead of bringing their foreheads together, made the lips of the boy meet hers for the first time...
Kaleb and Nango had fallen deeply in love. The two began a life together in that underwater kingdom.
