Kaleb looked at you, worried. He quickly uncovered the water just in time, because his clone was about to reach him. He brandished the bottle and shook it as he closed his eyes and covered his face with his arm, expecting to feel the flashlight of his evil clone hitting him at any second.

However, instead of the blow, there was a strangled moan. It was not human. It was a bubbling and mechanical moan, which came from the false Kaleb, who was on the ground, slowly dissolving. Pieces of his wet head and body were beginning to fall off from the weight of the water absorbed into them.

"Plop!"

- was the sound the pieces of his shoulder made as they separated from his body and fell to the ground. Each one of the pieces that he lost were transforming into a viscous paste that was further watered down on the ground. Thus, little by little, the clone melted into a puddle on the carpet, until his moans ceased, and the last thing that remained of him was a watery paste of remains on the floor.

-Thanks -Kaleb says, breathing uneven-. Thank you for helping me -he looks at you-. You really saved my skin, I think I trust your decisions more and more -he smiles at you, relieved, while he lies down to take a breather.

Kaleb takes the key out of his pocket, and holds it in his hand.

After catching his breath he leaves the room, and goes to the elevator. He's met again by the huge metal doors. The boy inserts the key into the lock under the button on the recessed panel in the wall.

Kaleb turns the key slowly, and as he does, the button lights up a faded, old yellow. His eyes widen hopefully. He gives you a quick, excited look and then presses the button. Within the walls he hears the heavy workings of gears and machinery shuffling and shifting. The sound is quite loud and drowns out almost all of the other noises in the hallway, like the ceiling lamps, but doesn't drown out a new sound in the distance: the Hound's angry roar.

Kaleb looks back, shocked. Seeing nothing, he turns back to the elevator.

Come on... come on... -Kaleb says impatiently as he pressed the button.

Finally, the sound of the machinery stops and the elevator doors open. Kaleb enters without hesitation and inside he looks up at the door where the floor counter is. It lights up, the elevator doors beginning to close again. In the distance you can hear the beast, making sounds like an angry moan.

"Ping!"

The doors close fully and Kaleb leans against the wall, taking deep breaths as the machine moves.

Soon he fixes his gaze on the floor counter. The hand moves gracefully until at last it stops, accompanied by the classic "ping!"...
