Kaleb nodded and put the manual back where it was. Then he went to the door through which he had entered the room.

He put his hand on the knob and was about to turn it, when he heard a sound on the other side, a sound that made his muscles tense in less than a second. His body stiffened, and the boy began to tremble a little. On the other side a growl was heard, accompanied by footsteps. Kaleb thought the same as you, because when he turned to see you with wide eyes, he whispered to you:

-It's... that thing. It found me.

Kaleb could hear the creature walking slowly behind the door and all he could think to do was lean his weight against it, tighten the knob and close his eyes. In his mind he repeated to himself that this could stop the beast. Deep inside he knew that it wasn't, but he told himself that if he repeated it enough maybe it could be true.

Suddenly the growling and footsteps seemed to stop and were replaced by another sound, a steady, hollow one. Kaleb leaned his cheek against the door so that his ear was completely crushed between his head and the wood in an attempt to hear better.

-I think... I think it's asleep -he whispered to you in a small voice. Indeed, he heard what appeared to be the creature snoring-. What do we do now? -he asked you.

-The photocopier doesn't seem like such a bad idea now >
-This is the best chance to escape - suggest Kaleb try to sneak down the hall slowly and quietly >
