The next morning two pirates went looking for Kaleb, just like Bones said.

The boy had barely been awake and was scrubbing the floor. The pirates, without saying a word, took him by the arms and dragged him.

Kaleb caught a glimpse of Ratchet, who was pulling ropes when he saw him go by. Ratchet nodded surreptitiously at the boy.

The two pirates made Kaleb go up the stairs, from which he could see Bones coming down, who stared at him in a threatening way, as if warning him not to mess up.

Finally, they took him to the poop deck, where the rudder was located, the navigator who steered it, and Captain Fuego himself.

-Ah, yes... our rescue. -said the captain when he saw the boy come up escorted by his men-. Tell me, son. Have you enjoyed your stay on our beautiful Flama?

Kaleb didn't say anything at first, so one of the pirates kicked him while...

-The captain asked you a question, worm! -he yelled

-Yes, sir -said Kaleb sorely.

-I'm glad -Fuego answered, while smiling mockingly-. Now I think it's time for you to repay us the favor a little. Don't you think?

-Yes... sir -said Kaleb, trying to contain his anger.

-I know you have information on where ths nefarious and vile aquatic creatures are hiding. We would like to visit them so that we can dismember each one of them and prevent another young man as unfortunate as you from becoming a prisoner to one of those monsters again.

The pirates laughed after the captain's comment. Kaleb gritted his teeth and tried not to breathe harder, the anger he felt boiling inside him trying to get out. The boy felt his jaw tense and his teeth began to ache from the pressure of trying to control his anger.

-So tell me, exactly where did those bastards capture you? Where is the entrance to their Kingdom? -Captain Fugeo's voice changed drastically. Orange smoke came out of his mouth again, while his voice turned dark and threatening. The iris of his eye lit up, as if to reveal the soulless butcher behind the diplomatic facade.

-It was in some whirlpools -said Kaleb.

The captain's irises blew wide, along with a drastic change in expression - if Kaleb read his expression correctly, he'd say it was wariness. Maybe Bones was right.

-Whirlpools? -the captain asked.

-Yes, captain -said Kaleb.

-Could you identify them on a map?? -he asked with a tone that pretended to be stoic.

-Yes -answered the boy.

The captain snapped his fingers, and two men brought a table and placed a gigantic map on it.

The captain looked at Kaleb.

-Well? -he asked.

Kaleb looked at the map, pointed to the Devil's Whirlpools, the ones he had seen with Bones the day before. The captain's eyes widened, then narrowed grimly.

-Devil's Whirlpools, huh? -he said as he walked slowly, from the end of the table to where the boy was-. And tell me, cabin boy, how do you know how locate this on a map? -the captain asked threateningly-. Because you're clearly not from around here...

Kaleb couldn't help but feel his body stiffen slightly, they hadn't covered what would happen if the captain asked that at yesterday's meeting. The boy feared that Fuego would see through his lies. Despite the tremendous fear of being discovered, Kaleb tried to remain calm and the only thing he could do was wait for you to give him options to answer the question and not be discovered.
